Religious Brothers Create Music Video

The life of a Legionary is a busy one filled with prayer, studies, and apostolate, but Br. Gabriel Lewis LC still finds time to write music and share his musical talent with others.  Br. Gabriel’s song, “The Way,” began spreading throughout the world via the website, www.whynotpriest.com, an effort of some Legionary brothers to help foster vocational awareness, but the song’s powerful message and modern sound has quickly moved the video to YouTube and beyond.

Visit www.whynotpriest.com to see the video.

Br. Gabriel is the son of one of Royalmont’s Board members, Bud Lewis and his wife Margo.  He is currently stationed at Pinecrest Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, one of  Royalmont Academy’s sister schools, where he works with boys at the school.

RA Students Pray for an End to Abortion

Royalmont students unite themselves in prayer to those in Washington D.C. for the March for life by participate in a school-wide Rosary.

As pro-life Americans across the country remember the millions of little lives lost through abortion, Royalmont students also held vigil in prayer.  Students began their day with a school-wide rosary to pray for an end to abortion and healing for all who have been effected by abortion.   They united themselves in a special way with Royalmont’s 8th grade class and several Formators who made the trip to the March for Life in Washington D.C.

Each student took one bead of a giant rosary and lead the prayer for that bead.

Upper School Presents their Mythbusters Projects

After much anticipation, Mythbusters day has arrived.  Upper School students have spent the last four months preparing their presentations, and it showed.  The idea behind the Mythbusters project is to debunk common myths, to see if they really hold up under scientific scrutiny.  Some of the projects chosen this year include: “Ready, Aim, Fire: Slingshots Have Better Accuracy Than Airsoft Guns.” ”Are You My Mother? You Can Tell Your Mother By Scent.” and “Can Coke Really Clean?”

Students paired up for the projects, conducted the experiments themselves, and created a Power Point Presentation.  All of their hard work culminated this morning as each pair of students presented their work to the student body.  Congratulations on a job well done, Upper School!
